The Dell Rapids Quarrier track teams had a strong day in Canton at the Terry Bong Invite on Thursday, April 30th. The boys team placed second with 93.5 points. The girls team was third with 75 points.
Vivica Kreul took first in the discus with a throw of 121’1″. Elizabeth Krantz won the long jump at 16’3″ and placed third in the triple jump with a jump of 34’2″. Claire Witte was second in the high jump at 4’9″. Madelynn Henry took third in the long jump with a leap of 15’10.5″. Keilah Kremer placed fourth in the high jump at 4’5″. Zadie Frederiksen was fifth in the 200m dash with a time of :29.91. Three relay teams won on Thursday. The 4x100m relay team of Alaina Wolff, Witte, Krantz, and Henry took the top spot in :52.26. The 4x200m relay team of AWolff, Witte, Josie Price, and Aspen Zweifel won in 1:49.75. The 4x800m relay team of Rorie Thoreson, Madyn Lacey, Addy Witte, and Brielle Hilmoe also won with a time of 10:21.88.
Jackson Peppel won the 400m dash in a time of :53.01 and finished third in the long jump at 19’4″. Camden Tebay was second in the 1600m run in 5:04.64. Jase BeBout places second in the 300m hurdles in :49.40. Cason Maeschen was second in the shot put with a throw of 45’4″. Karson Paye took second in the high jump with a jump of 5’9″. Levi Peter was third in the discus with a throw of 135’2″. Behr Peckenpaugh was fourth in the 100m dash in :12.20. Alex Heinemann took fourth in the 800m run in 2:22.53. Gauge Bunkers took fourth in the javelin at 123’9″. Nolan Katzer finished fifth in the 1600m run in a time of 5:15.18. Kaden Smith was fifth in the high jump at 5’5″ and fifth in the triple jump at 37’6.5″. The sprint medley relay team of Ryan Baker, Anthony Osborne, Peckenpaugh, and Tebay won in a time of 3:54.48. THe 4x100m relay team of Hudson Wolff, Parker Wheeler, Lucas Peppel, and Knox Cuny was fourth in :49.25. The 4x200m relay team of Haiden Kaffar, Wheeler, L. Peppel, and H. Wolff also placed fourth in 1:43.90
