The Dell Rapids Quarrier track team had their first meet of the season on Monday, April 6th. They competed in the Scott Underwood Indoor Invitational on the campus of South Dakota State University in Brookings.
Elizabeth Krantz took second in the triple jump with a jump of 9.77. Rorie Thoreson finished fourth in the 800m run with a time of 2:21.12. Madelynn Henry was eighth in the long jump with a leap of 4.40m. The 4x100m relay team of Alaina Wolff, Claire Witte, Josie Price, and Henry placed fifth in :52.21. The 4x400m relay team of Wolff, Brielle Hilmoe, Zadie Frederiksen, and Thoreson took sixth in a time of 4:19.63. The 4x800m relay team of Addy Witte, Liz Vogel, Madyn Lacey, and Hilmoe finished eighth in 11:07.97.
Karson Paye placed fourth in the high jump at 5’10”. Kaden Smith finished eighth in the triple jump with a leap of 11.69m. Carson Maeschen finished eighth in the shot put. The 4x200m relay team of Knox Cuny, Hudson Wolff, Jackson Peppel, and Behr Peckenpaugh finished eighth in a time of 1:37.72.
