The Dell Rapids Quarrier boys season ended in the Region 3A Tournament against the West Central Trojans on Friday, March 6th. The Trojans used a fast start to lead them to a 71-46 win.
West Central built an early 13-4 lead with 3:55 to go in the first quarter. They ended the quarter with a 23-7 advantage. Both teams scored 13 points each in the second quarter, and West Central led 36-20 at halftime. The Trojans would outscore Dell Rapids 18-10 in the third quarter to extend their lead to 45-30 going into the fourth. Their lead would reach over 30 points early in the fourth quarter.
Dell Rapids was 46% (19-41) shooting overall, 38% (6-16) from three-point area, and 2-3 from the free-throw line. West Central shot 46% (29-63) overall from the field, 30% (9-30) on three-point shots, and a perfect 4-4 from the free-throw line.
Jackson Peppel had 12 points and three rebounds. Camden Jones ended with eight points, three assists, and two rebounds. Lincoln Anderson had seven points. Kaden Smith and Hudson Wolff both had six points each. Karson Paye had five points, five rebounds, and four assists. Carson Maeschen had five rebounds.
Dell Rapids finished the year with a 9-13 overall record.
