Lincoln Anderson poured in 29 points and grabbed six rebounds to help lead the Dell Rapids Quarriers to a 77-57 win over the Madison Bulldogs on Thursday, January 22nd.
Madison would have their strongest quarter in the first and led Dell Rapids 19-18 at the end of the quarter. Dell Rapids’ offense was able to stay steady throughout the entire game. The Quarriers outscored Madison 20-10 in the second quarter for a 38-29 lead at halftime.
The lead continued to grow throughout the second half for Dell Rapids. The Quarriers put 21 more points on the board in the third quarter and grew their lead to 59-41 going into the fourth quarter. The Bulldogs weren’t able to challenge Dell Rapids in the fourth quarter as the Quarriers cruised to the 20-point win.
Dell Rapids shot 53% (29-55) from the field overall, but just 18% (3-17) on three-point shots. They were 62% (16-26) from the free-throw line. Madison finished the game shooting 37% (20-54) overall, 40% (8-20) on three-point attempts, and 56% (9-16) from the free-throw line.
Camden Jones also finished in double figures with 11 points, eight assists, and four rebounds. Karson Paye added nine points, six rebounds, and two assists. Jace Brende also had nine points. Jackson Peppel ended with six points, eight rebounds, and four assists.
