The Dell Rapids Quarrier volleyball team won four all four of their matches at the Huron Tournament on Saturday, August 31st. All four wins game against class AA schools.
In the opening match, Dell Rapids defeated the Brookings Bobcats by scores of 25-11 and 25-22. Madelynn Henry had seven kills, two ace serves, and five digs. Lauryn Kloth finished with four kills and two digs. Sophi Randall had four kills, three digs, and 14 set assists. Clara Justice added three kills and two digs. Alaina Wolff added five digs.
The Quarriers then defeated the Mitchell Kernals in straight sets by scores of 25-14 and 25-15. Karlie Ingalls had six kills. Henry added six kills and 11 digs. Kloth finished with four kills. Justice had three ace serves. Wolff had two ace serves and six digs. Randall had 18 set assists and six digs in the match.
The Spearfish Spartans were the next opponent for the day. Dell Rapids also won the match in straight sets by scores of 25-20 and 25-22. Henry had 20 kills. Kloth added five kills. Randall finished with four kills, five digs, and 28 set assists. Justice had three kills, three ace serves, and two digs. Wolff finished with nine digs, and Ingalls had seven digs.
In the final match of the day, Dell Rapids needed three sets to defeat the Watertown Arrows. The Quarriers won by scores of 25-20, 22-25, and 25-19. Henry added 18 more kills and fiev digs. Kloth had eight kills and two blocks. Justice and four kills, three ace serves, and four digs. Ingalls finished with four kills and five digs. Randall added four blocks, six digs and 21 set assists.
