Quarrier Boys Relay Teams Have Strong Showing at State Track

The Dell Rapids Quarrier boys relay teams had a strong showing at the state track meet in Sioux Falls held Thursday, May 23rd through Saturday, May 25th.

The 4x100m relay team of Mason Stubbe, Cole Ruesink, Nick Snyder, and Jack Henry not only won with a time of :42.85, but also broke a school record.  The 4x200m relay team of Grady Lamer, Ruesink, Henry, and Stubbe also placed first with a time of 1:29.55.  The 4x400m relay team of Lamer, Cooper Cuny, Will Ronshaugen, and John Mortrude finished fourth with a time of 3:29.44.

Rorie Thoreson placed sixth in the 800m run with a time of 2:23.78.  The sprint medley relay team of Sophie Godwin, Alaina Wolff, Clara Justice, and Thoreson finished second in a time of 4:18.32.

Stubbe also finished fourth in the long jump with a leap of 21’2.5″.
