The Dell Rapids Quarrier wrestling team competed in the Region 1A wrestling tournament in Tea on Saturday, February 17th. The team finished with 57.0 points. John Mortrude and Quinn Carr both qualified for state by finishing in the top four of their weight class.
Mortrude was third in the 144-pound division with a 3-1 record. Carr was also third in the 175-pound class with a 3-1 record.
Camden Tebay (113) placed sixth with a 1-3 record on the day. Kane Murphy (150) was also sixth and had a 1-3 record. Aiden Geraets (215) placed sixth with one win. Charlie Becker (285) finished sixth with a 1-3 record.
Charlie Person (120), Zach Grochow (126), Levi Peter (165) also took part in the tournament.
