The Dell Rapids Quarriers hosted the Vermillion Tanagers in a makeup match on Monday, October 9th. The Quarriers took the match over the Tanagers in straight sets by scores of 25-10, 25-13, and 25-13.
Dell Rapids took the lead early in all three sets. In the first set, the Quarriers got out to an 11-4 lead. They pushed that lead to 17-8 before winning 25-10. To start the second set, Dell Rapids went on an 8-4 run. The Tanagers were still within four, 11-7, before Dell Rapids went on a 9-2 run for a 20-9 lead. The Quarriers finished the set with a 25-13 win. The third set started with Dell Rapids leading 7-5. They slowly grew that lead to 17-10, and then ended the match on an 8-3 advantage.
Lauryn Kloth had nine kills and three ace serves. Madelynn Henry finished with seven kills, six digs, and two blocks. Sophi Randall had 22 set assists, seven kills, and three digs. Elin Schoenhard had five kills and two blocks. Alaina Wolff had five digs and three ace serves. Kylee Fiddelke had three digs and three ace serves. Karlie Ingalls added seven digs.
