The Garretson/Dell Rapids Blue Dragon girls soccer team has a goal to improve on their 2-10 record from last season.
The Blue Dragons have a total of 19 players on the team this season. Junior Addison Lafontaine, sophomore Kirti Pickard, and seventh grader Chloe Carver are the three players from Dell Rapids. They have three seniors this year, Kylie Christensen (Garretson), Adi Fink (Garretson), and Jordyn Williams (Garretson). These three seniors will be asked to lead the team and bring consistency to the pitch head coach Amber Williamson mentioned.
“We are also looking for our younger players who got varsity minutes last year to step up and play a lot more. Our goal for this season is to improve on our 2-10 record last year and make it to the playoffs,” added Williamson.
The first home match of the season will be held on Saturday, August 19th at 11:00 a.m. against Tea at the Garretson Sports Complex.
