Tiger Offense Gets Hot in Middle Quarters for Win over Quarrier Girls

The Mobridge-Pollock Tiger offense got hot in the middle quarters to help them to a 65-41 win over the Dell Rapids Quarrier girls at the Dak-12/NEC Clash in Madison on Saturday, February 7th.

The two teams played a close first quarter with the Tigers holding a 14-13 lead at the break.  Mobridge-Pollock then exploded for 26 points in the second quarter and led 40-24 at halftime.  They continued their hot streak in the third quarter.  The Tigers outscored the Quarriers 18-5 to lead 58-29 going into the fourth quarter.

Dell Rapids shot 30% (16-53) overall, 24% (4-17) from three-point area, and 5-8 from the free-throw line.  Mobridge-Pollock finished the game shooting 39% (24-61) from the field overall, 40% (8-20) on three-point shots, and 9-10 from the free-throw line.

Rorie Thoreson had 23 points, four rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Jersi Schultz ended with 10 points, six rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Kassidee Stykel had six points.  Claire Witte ended with two points, three rebounds, and two steals.
