The Dell Rapids Quarrier girls basketball team is coming off an 8-14 season a year ago with a loss in the second round of regions to Flandreau.
“We were left unsatisfied losing in the second round of regions last season to Flandreau. Our girls remember that game, and they are eager to get on the court this season,” said head coach Nicole Pankonen.
Dell Rapids returns a solid senior class with Mya DeStigter, Elin Schoenhard, Taylor Schmidt, and Kassidee Stykel. They will be joined by returning starters Rorie Thoreson and Jersi Schultz.
“Together we focus on our growth every year. Our expectation for ourselves is to never end a game thinking we could have done more. We want to lay it all out on the court,” added Pankonen.
The 2025-2026 season begins on the road in Beresford on Saturday, December 6th.
