The Dell Rapids Quarrier volleyball team won three of four matches against AA schools at the Huron Tournament on Saturday, August 30th.
The opening match was against the Mitchell Kernals. The Quarriers cruised past the Kernals in straight sets by scores of 25-17 and 25-8. Dell Rapids then faced the Spearfish Spartans and won the match in straight sets, 25-16 and 25-20.
The third match for Dell Rapids was against the Brandon Valley Lynx. Brandon Valley won the first set by a score or 25-23. The Quarriers took the second set 25-13 to force a third and final set. Dell Rapids won their third match of the day by beating the Lynx 25-16.
The final match of the day was against the Watertown Arrows. Watertown gained an advantage by winning the first set 25-16. The Quarriers needed extra time, but forced a third set by winning the second 26-24. The third set also needed extra points to determine a winner. Watertown came out on top with a 27-25 win.

Madelynn Henry finished the tournament with 56 kills, 27 digs, and six ace serves. Tenley Anderson had 86 set assists, 25 digs, and four ace serves. Sylea Sykes added 18 kills, 18 digs, and seven ace serves. Alaina Wolff had 24 digs and 10 set assists. Peyton Hohn finished with 23 kills, while Elin Schoenhard had 10 kills. Jocelyn Amundson had 19 digs.
