The Dell Rapids Quarrier boys got a big Region 3A win in Flandreau on Tuesday, February 4th. The Quarriers built a double digit lead in the first half which helped them to a 53-38 win.
Dell Rapids led by just three points at the end of the first quarter, 13-10. They would outscore Flandreau 22-7 in the second quarter for a 35-17 lead at halftime. The Quarriers maintained their lead in the third quarter and carried a 42-25 advantage into the fourth quarter. Flandreau was able to cut the lead down to 10 points, 44-34, with 5:00 to go in the game. The Quarriers, however, finished the game on a 9-4 run to secure the win.
Three players finished in double figures. Karsen Paye had 17 points, six rebounds, and five assists. Lincoln Anderson ended with 15 points. Jack Kloth had 11 points and five rebounds. Tad Tjaded tallied eight points and eight rebounds.
