The Dell Rapids Quarriers faced the Deubrook Area Dolphins at the Girls Entringer Classic in Colman on Saturday, December 21st. Dell Rapids made their first three shots of the game to take an early lead, but the Dolphins took control in the second half for a 58-35 win.
The Dolphins scored the first two points of the game, but after the Quarriers made their first three shots of the game, they led 6-2. Deubrook, however, would score the final nine points of the quarter for an 11-6 lead. Dell Rapids got within three points a couple of times in the second quarter, but Deubrook led 21-14 at halftime. The Dolphins offense had a big third quarter scoring 24 points in the quarter alone take a 45-25 lead into the fourth quarter.
Dell Rapids shot 31% (13-42) from the field overall, 12% (2-17) on three-point attempts, and 7-8 from the free-throw line. Deubrook shot 47% (23-49) overall, 35% (6-17) from three-point area, and 6-11 from the free-throw line.
Rorie Thoreson had 11 points in the game. Josie Price finished with eight points and five rebounds. Jersi Schultz added six points and three rebounds. Clara Justice had four points and five rebounds. Elly Olson ended with six assists and three rebounds.
