The Dell Rapids Quarriers traveled to Lennox to finish the regular season on Thursday, October 24th. Dell Rapids never trailed in the game and ended with a 26-12 win.
Cole Ruesink had a 15-yard touchdown run late in the first quarter. Cooper Frost made the extra point, and with 1:16 left in the quarter, the Quarriers led 7-0. Dell Rapids added to the lead after a 23-yard touchdown pass from Frost to Will Ronshaugen with 8:10 left in the first half. The Quarriers got one more score before halftime. Ruesink had a 15-yard touchdown reception from Frost with :14 to go. Dell Rapids led 19-0 at halftime.
Lennox scored in the first minute of the third quarter. With 11:20 to go in the third, the Orioles scored on a 42-yard pass to make the score 19-6. The score remained 19-6 going into the fourth quarter. Lennox got within seven points, 19-12, after a seven-yard touchdown pass with 10:00 left in the game. Ruesink got into the end zone for the third time with 3:18 to play. He scored on a five-yard run. The extra point was good to make the score 26-12.
The Quarriers finished with 350 yards of offense, 149 passing yards and 201 rushing yards. Lennox had 252 yards of offense, 218 passing yards and 34 rushing yards. Ruesink had 21 carries for 103 yards and two touchdowns. Frost was 12-16 passing for 149 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. Tad Tjaden had three catches for 62 yards. Ruesink had three receptions for 23 yards and a touchdown. Ronshaugen had a catch for 23 yards and a touchdown. Ruesink had seven tackles and an interception. Kenny Swanson had 5.5 tackles. Frost ended with five tackles. Quinn Carr had 3.5 tackles and a sack.
