The Dell Rapids Quarrier volleyball team took care of business in Madison on Tuesday, October 22nd. The Quarriers took the match in straight sets by scores of 25-15, 25-12, and 25-15.
The tone was set early when Dell Rapids started the firsts set with a 7-1 run. The Quarriers kept a healthy distance throughout the set. They led 14-7 and 21-13 before taking the win 25-15. Dell Rapid started the second set with a 4-1 run. After leading 9-5, the Quarriers went on a 9-4 run to extend the lead to 18-9. Dell Rapids finished the set with a 7-3 difference for a 25-12 win.
The third set was close through the midway point. Dell Rapids did have a 6-2 lead, but Madison tied the score 7-7. The Bulldogs then went ahead 9-7. Madison also led 12-10. The Quarriers regained the lead 14-13, but the Bulldogs would tie the score 15-15. Dell Rapids then finished the match on a 10-0 run for a 25-15 win.
