The Dell Rapids Quarrier volleyball team finished 1-2 in the Blue Division of the Sanford Pentagon Invite on Saturday, September 27th.
The Quarriers went 1-1 in two pool-play matches. The day started with a straight set win over Western Christian by scores of 25-12 and 25-16. Dell Rapids then played the #1 team in Class B, the Chester Flyers. The Flyers won the match in three sets by scores of 19-25, 25-16 and 25-23.
Dell Rapids qualified for bracket play and had to play the Sioux Falls Christian Chargers. The Chargers defeated the Quarriers in their second match-up of the season. Sioux Falls Christian won the first set in extra time, 29-27. They then won the second set 25-21 to end the Quarriers day.
Madelynn Henry finished the day with 43 kills and 19 digs. Lauryn Kloth had 13 kills. Karlie Ingalls added 13 kills, 17 digs, and three set assists. Clara Justice had eight kills, 17 digs, four blocks, and three ace serves. Sophi Randall ended with 71 set assists, 33 digs, six kills, five blocks, and five ace serves. Alaina Wolff had 26 digs and seven set assists.
