The Dell Rapids Red 14U baseball team earned a shut out win over West Central Gold 14U by a score of 18-0 on Tuesday, July 2nd.
Dell Rapids scored 10 times in the top of the first for a 10-0 lead. Neither team scored in the second inning, but Dell Rapids scored eight more times in the top of the third inning. The game ended on the 15-run rule after three innings.
Knox Cuny had a triple and double with five RBIs. Jacob Geraets had two hits, one a double, and two RBIs. Haiden Kaffar added two singles and an RBI. Hayden King finished with a single and two RBIs. Micah Schmidt had a single and RBI. Isaac Ahlers had a single. Kason Lebahn and Blake Lebahn both had two RBIs each.
Booden Mailey pitched two innings and allowed three hits and four walks with four strikeouts. Schmidt pitched one inning without allowing a hit.
