Despite outhitting Parker, Dell Rapids Navy 14U suffered an 11-3 loss on Tuesday, July 2nd.
After two scoreless innings, Dell Rapids took the lead with a run in the top of the third. They added another in the top of the fourth for a 2-0 advantage. Parker, however, had a nine-run bottom of the fourth. Dell Rapids got one more run in the top of the fifth. Parker added two more in the bottom of the sixth.
Eli Gullickson had three hits for Dell Rapids. Rowdy Bowen finished with two singles. Andrew Schoeberl had a double and an RBI. Rhett Thoreson, Owen Bollock, and Charlie Bollock all had one hit each. Caiden Borns had an RBI. Thoreson pitched four innings and allowed nine runs, but just two earned, on seven hits and five walks with four strikeouts. Gullickson pitched two innings and allowed two runs, both unearned, on a hit and walk with five strikeouts.
