The Dell Rapids Quarrier softball team qualified for the state tournament for the second year in a row after a 16-1 over Lennox in the SoDak 16 on Wednesday, May 22nd.
The Quarriers scored in all four innings before the game was ended on the 15-run rule. Dell Rapids had five runs in the bottom of the first, one in the second, five in the third, and five in the fourth. The Orioles scored their only run in the top of the fourth.
Rylee Halverson had three doubles and four RBIs. Kylee Fiddelke had three hits, two of those triples, and three RBIs. Claire Wynja had two triples and two RBIs. Lexi Scherff added a triple and two RBIs. Kylie Lebahn and Katie Kvigne each had a double and RBI. Lexi Ingalls finished with a single, and Jaycee Tebay had an RBI. Kvigne pitched four innings and allowed an earned run on two hits and a walk with six strikeouts.
