The Dell Rapids Quarrier girls basketball team hosted the Tea Area Titans on Friday, December 15th. The Titans took the win by a score of 68-26.
Tea Area got out to a big 28-6 lead by the end of the first quarter. They extended the lead to 53-13 at halftime. The Titans outscored Dell Rapids just 15-13 in the second half.
Dell Rapids finished the game shooting 26% (11-43) overall, 24% (4-17) on three-point attempts, and 0-1 from the free-throw line. The Titans shot 55% (28-51) from the field, 35% on three-point shots, and 5-7 from the free-throw line.
Elly Olson had a team-high eight points with three rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Shelby Welbig had six points and three rebounds. Jersi Schultz added four points, six rebounds, and two assists. Taylor Schmidt and Mya DeStigter both had three points each.
