The Dell Rapids Quarrier offense continued to roll in their game in Milbank on Friday, September 22nd. The Quarriers cruised to a 63-8 victory over the Bulldogs.
On the first offensive play of the game, Jack Henry threw a 50-yard touchdown pass to Treyse Eastman for a 6-0 lead. Mason Stubbe had an 80-yard touchdown run and then had the two-point conversion. Later in the quarter, Stubbe had a 58-yard touchdown, and Henry converted the two points. Stubbe added a 50-yard interception return for a touchdown later in the quarter. Cooper Frost made the extra point, and after the first quarter, Dell Rapids led 29-0.
Sutton Williams scored the first touchdown for Dell Rapids in the second quarter on a nine-yard run. Frost added another extra point to make the score 36-0. Milbank got a 32-yard touchdown pass and two-point conversion in the second quarter to make the score 36-8. Cole Ruesink had a 25-yard touchdown run, and Stubbe added another touchdown from 27 yards away later in the second quarter. Frost made both extra points, and Dell Rapids led 50-8 at halftime.
Isaac Tudor scored on a 15-yard run in the third quarter. Another made extra point by Frost made the score 57-8. Jeremiah McDougall ended the game in the fourth quarter on a four-yard touchdown run.
Dell Rapids had 452 yards of offense, 402 rushing yards and 50 passing yards. Milbank finished with 183 yards of offense, 127 passing yards and 56 rushing yards. The Quarriers had 16 first downs compared to nine for Milbank.
Stubbe had four carries for 168 yards and three touchdowns. Ruesink had three carries for 86 yards and a touchdown. McDougall finished with nine rushes for 44 yards and a touchdown. Williams had four carries for 30 yards and a touchdown, and Tudor had two carries for 21 yards and a touchdown. Henry was 1-2 passing for 50 yards and a touchdown. Eastman had a catch for 50 yards and a touchdown.
Aiden Geraets finished with 12 tackles. Williams finished with six takcles. Quinn Carr had five tackles with a sack. Stubbe had four tackles and an interception. Eastman had four tackles. Frost had two tackles and an interception. Ryan Baker, John Mortrude, and Parker Zweifel all had a fumble recovery.
