The Dell Rapids 16U team remained undefeated on the season winning their fifteenth straight with a 13-1 road win over Tri-Valley Maroon on Tuesday, July 11th.
The score was only 3-0 in favor of Dell Rapids after two innings of play. Dell Rapids continued to lead 3-0 through five innings. Then Dell Rapids had a 10-run top of the sixth to blow the game open 13-0. Tri-Valley only got one run in the bottom of the sixth before the game ended on the 10-run rule.
Carson Maeschen had a double with two RBIs. Quinn Carr also had a double with an RBI. Tad Tjaden, Carson Crosby, Logan Donovan, Matt Nelson, and Cooper Frost all had a hit and an RBI. Cole Ruesink, Talan Millage, Will Zwach, and Connor Hanson all had a single. Lincoln Fersdahl finished with two RBIs. Tjaden pitched all six innings and allowed one earned run on two hits and three walks with 10 strikeouts.
