The Dell Rapids Phils pushed their winning streak to 15 games after a 5-1 win over Volga on Thursday, June 29th.
Dell Rapids built an early 4-0 lead in the first two innings, which was enough for the win. Brayden Pankonen had an RBI double, Jack Henry followed with an RBI single, and Aiden Boechler had an RBI in the first inning. Henry had another RBI single in the top of the second to make it 4-0. Volga got a run in the bottom of the fourth. Joe Rechtenbaugh added an RBI double in the top of the fifth for Dell Rapids.
Henry had two singles and two RBIs. Rechtenbaugh and Pankonen both had two hits, one a double, and an RBI. D Kindt finished with two hits. CJ Smith also had a single. Boechler added an RBI. Will Jaton pitched five innings and allowed an earned run on four hits and a walk with three strikeouts. Konrad Richeal pitched two innings walking one and striking out two.
