The Dell Rapids Quarriers held their first true home game as a program in Dell Rapids on Tuesday, April 18th at Dell Rapids City Park. The Quarriers defeated the Canton C-Hawks 27-0 in three innings.
The Quarriers scored 20 runs in the first inning and then seven more in the bottom of the second. Canton was held to just one hit in the ball game. Dell Rapids had 17 total hits and took advantage of 11 Canton errors.
The Quarriers had four home runs in the game. Rileigh Foster had two of the home runs along with a triple and a single and seven RBIs. Kylee Fiddelke had two hits, one a home run, and three RBIs. Jacyee Tebay also had a home run and two RBIs. Katie Scherff and Claire Wynja both finished with two hits and two RBIs each. Lexi Ingalls and Kylie Lebahn each had two hits and an RBI. Alessanda Swartwourt added a double, and Avry DeStigter had a single.
Katie Kvigne pitched two innings and allowed one hit with five strikeouts. Paige Trewin pitched one inning and had two strikeouts.
