Four wrestlers will compete at the state tournament for the Dell Rapids Quarriers. Dell Rapids competed in the Region 1A Tournament on Saturday, February 18th in Madison. The Quarriers finished with 23.0 points as a team.
Quinn Carr had a fourth place finish in the 182-pound class with a 2-2 record to qualify for state. Hannah Jensen, Rylee Halverson, and Bailey Credeur will also compete at the state tournament.
John Mortrude (132) placed sixth with a record of 1-3. Zach Gorchow (113), Kane Murphy (138), Kaiden Lowman (145), Gabe Clark (152), and Brandon Schmidt (220) all finished 0-2.
The 2023 South Dakota State A Wrestling Tournament will be held in Rapid City Thursday, February 23rd through Saturday, February 25th.
