Last Second Three Pointer Sinks Quarrier Boys

Rhett Kloth made a driving shot in the lane with :07.1 left in the game to give Dell Rapids (14-3) a 58-56 lead over the Tea Area Titans.  The Titans, after a timeout, drove the sideline, and Garrett Wiebenga drained a three-point shot from the right corner with :02 to go to give the Titans a 59-58 home win on Thursday, February 9th.  It was another classic between these two teams.

The two teams were evenly matched, and the game was close throughout.  There were five lead changes and seven ties in the game.  The Titans led 17-16 at the end of the first quarter, but Dell Rapids had a 37-34 lead at halftime.  Both offenses struggled a bit in the third quarter.  The Quarriers led 44-40 going into the fourth quarter.

Dell Rapids shot 51% (22-43) overall, 36% (4-11) from three-point area, and 63% (10-16) from the free-throw line.  Tea Area shot 44% (22-50) in the game, 31% (5-16) on three-point shots, and 59% (10-17) from the free-throw line.

Jack Henry had 30 points and five rebounds.  Brayden Pankonen finished with 13 points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Kloth ended with seven points, eight rebounds, four blocked shots, and two assists.  Camden Justice had four points and three rebounds.
