A big run by Lennox in the second quarter helped them to a 47-38 win over Dell Rapids on Monday, January 9th in Lennox.
The offenses took a few minutes to get rolling. The first score of the game didn’t happen until three minutes into the opening quarter. The first quarter ended in a 10-10 tie. Dell Rapids held a three-point lead, 18-15, with 4:45 to play in the second quarter. But it was at that point Lennox went on a run. The Orioles outscored the Quarriers 13-2 the rest of the quarter and led 28-20 at halftime. That run was enough to keep Lennox in front the rest of the game. Lennox only held a one-point scoring advantage, 19-18, overall in the second half.
Claire Wynja finished with 14 points and five rebounds. Jenna Miller finished with 10 points and two rebounds. Liz Price had nine points and 12 rebounds. Mya DeStigter had three points, and Elly Olson finished with two points.
JV Results – Coach Huska Update
hooting woes and untimely defensive lapses once again proved costly for the Quarriers JV basketball team as they fell to the Lennox Orioles by a score of 13-39. Reagan VanZee had four points, three assists, and two steals. Kassy Stykel had three points and two steals. Keilah Kremer finished with three points. DeStigter added two points and four rebounds. Taylor Schmidt had a point and three rebounds. Peyton Hohn finished with four rebounds and two blocked shots.
