The Dell Rapids Quarrier boys cruised to a 67-36 win over the Canton C-Hawks at home on Thursday, January 5th. The end of the first quarter was the closest the score was all game. Dell Rapids led 11-7 at the first break and then extended that lead to 35-15 by halftime. The Quarriers also led 52-30 at the end of the third quarter.
Dell Rapids shot 35% (27-76) from the field, 28% (7-25) from three-point area, and 75% (6-8) from the free-throw line. Canton was held to 30% (13-43) shooting, 14% (2-14) from three-point area, and 44% (8-18) from the free-throw line. The Dell Rapids defense forced 22 turnovers, 16 of those on steals.
Jack Henry had 20 points, eight rebounds, and three steals. Brayden Pankonen had 15 points, four rebounds, and five steals. Chase Jones added 10 points, and Camden Justice ended with six points and three rebounds.
