The Dell Rapids Quarrier girls basketball team is ready to improve from last season’s 3-18 record. Dell Rapids graduated six seniors, and the 2022-2023 Quarriers will be led by seniors Liz Price and Kerrigan Kindopp. Other returners are Shelby Welbig (junior), Claire Wynja (junior), Elly Olson (sophomore), Clara Justice (sophomore), and Jenna Miller (freshman).
“We’re really excited about the group we have coming back. We have a nice group of perimeter players in Kerrigan, Claire, Jenna, Clara, and Elly. They each bring a little something different to the court, and it will be fun to see how they mesh as a group. Liz and Shelby will be working in the post for us. They are both extremely hard workers and do a nice job of reading and working off of their teammates. Overall this group brings a lot of good and excitable energy to the court,” said head coach Dustin Steckler.
The Quarriers start the season at home against the Madison Bulldogs on Thursday, December 8th.
