Quarrier Volleyball Splits Matches on Back-to-Back Nights

The Dell Rapids Quarrier volleyball team won a match and lost a match on back-to-back nights.  Dell Rapids hosted the Dakota Valley Panthers on Monday, October 3rd, and then the Quarriers traveled to Vermillion on Tuesday, October 4th.

Dakota Valley 3, Dell Rapids 0

The Panthers came to Dell Rapids and took the match in straight sets on Monday.  Dakota Valley won a close first set 25-21.  The second set was another close one, but in favor of the Panthers 25-20.  Dakota Valley then won the final set 25-16.

Madelynn Henry had 11 kills and eight digs.  Kylee Fiddelke finished with four kills.  Lauryn Kloth also had four kills and two blocks.  Sophi Randall ended the night with 18 set assists, two ace serves, and eight digs.  Alaina Wolff had a team-high 18 digs.

Dell Rapids 3, Vermillion 0

The Quarriers bounced back on Tuesday with a straight set win over the Vermillion Tanagers.  Dell Rapids cruised through the first two sets by scores of 25-12 and 25-11.  The third set was closer, but Dell Rapids took the victory 25-23.

Henry finished with 11 kills and 13 digs.  Kloth had 10 kills and three blocks.  Fiddelke added eight kills, six digs, and two ace serves.  Randall had 32 set assists, seven kills, and four blocks.  Lexi Ingalls had eight digs and two ace serves.  Wolff finished with 14 digs.
