The Garretson Blue Dragon girls soccer team dropped their first two matches of the 2022 season. They lost to Vermillion on the road on Friday, August 12th, and then lost to Groton at home on Saturday, August 13th.
Vermillion 6, Garretson 1
Veermillion scored three goals in each half in their 6-1 win over Garretson. The Blue Dragons scored one time in the first half and trailed 3-1 at halftime. The Tanagers, however, scored three more times in the second half to earn the season-opening win.
Groton 2, Garretson 1
In the first home match of the season, and also parent’s night, the Blue Dragons scored a goal in the first half and held a 1-0 lead at halftime. The Tigers were able to get two goals in the second half and take a 2-1 victory on Saturday.
The Blue Dragos will host Tea Area on Saturday, August 20th.
