The Dell Rapids Quarrier volleyball team finished 16-14 last season which included many close matches. The Quarriers finished second to Garretson (2021 State A runner-up) at the Canton Tournament. They also lost 3-2 to Madison in the first round of regions, and Dell Rapids is ready to improve on those close matches in 2022.
“We play in an extremely tough conference and region. As such we look to get better each practice and match, so we are poised to make a post-season run come November,” said head coach Erica Fersdahl.
The Quarriers return two seniors this year, Emma Molskness and Abigail Greenhoff. Dell Rapids also returns other key players in Sophie Randall, Madelynn Henry, Lauryn Kloth, Kylee Fiddelke, Lexi Ingalls, and Clara Justice. Alaina Wolff and Cate Traill could be two key newcomers to the team.
Dell Rapids opens the season at home against Elkton-Lake Benton on Tuesday, August 23rd.
