The Beresford Watchdog girls evened their record to 5-5 with a 63-42 win over the Lac Qui Parle Valley Eagles at the DVC Border Battle in Colman on Saturday, January 18th.
A big run in the first quarter set the tone for Beresford. They ended the opening quarter with a 16-3 lead and rolled from there the rest of the game. They increased the lead to 31-13 by halftime. Both teams scored 15 points each in the third quarter, and the Watchdogs led 46-28 going into the final quarter.
Ella Merriman had 24 points, three rebounds, three assists, and five steals. Harley Koth finished with 12 points and four rebounds. Lily Seivert added six points. Kendra Ellis had five points in the game. Kennedy Merrigan had four points, four rebounds, and four assists.
