Beresford Girls Earn Big East Conference Win

The Beresford Watchdog girls earned a Big East Conference win at home over the McCook Central/Montrose Cougars on Friday, January 10th.  The Watchdogs took the win 60-35.

Beresford grabbed a 12-point lead, 17-5, by the end of the first quarter.  They extended their lead to 33-14 by halftime.  The Watchdogs outscored the Cougars in the third quarter, but only at 11-9, for a 44-23 lead going into the fourth quarter.  Beresford got ahead by 30 points in the fourth quarter to trigger the running clock.

Ella Merriman finished with 24 points, three rebounds, and six steals.  Kelly Merrigan had seven points and three rebounds.  Makiah Sharpe added six points and four rebounds.  Harley Koth had five points, seven rebounds, four assists, and five steals.  Kendra Ellis ended with five points, six rebounds, and three steals.
