Watchdogs Pull Away from Cub Girls for Win

The Beresford Watchdogs slowly pulled away from the Alcester-Hudson Cub girls in the second half for a 49-33 win on Saturday, February 8th.

The Watchdogs built a six-point lead, 11-5, by the end of the first quarter.  The lead grew to double digits, 28-17, by halftime.  Beresford outscored Alcester-Hudson 11-6 in the third quarter to make the score 39-23 going into the fourth quarter.  The lead hit 20 points in the fourth quarter before the Cubs scored a few late baskets to end the game.

Ella Merriman ended the game with 18 points.  Harley Koth finished with 11 points and three assists.  Lily Sievert had nine points.  Hanah Colford had five points, Kendra Ellis had four points, and Keely Merrigan added two points.
