The Beresford Watchdog boys basketball team rolled to a big 50-19 win over the Irene-Wakonda Eagles on Tuesday, January 23rd.
The Watchdogs held the Eagles to single digit scoring in every quarter. Beresford built a 17-4 lead at the end of the first quarter. They extended the lead to 31-8 at halftime. The running clock came into effect early in the third quarter. The Watchdogs outscored Irene-Wakonda 21-11 in the second half.
Malachi James had 19 points, six rebounds, and two steals. Aidan Hamm added 15 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Tiegen Nyhaug finished with six points and four rebounds. Andrew Atwood had five points, 10 rebounds, two assists, and three steals. Seth James had eight rebounds in the game.
