Watchdog Boys Take Tough Loss Against Chester

The Beresford Watchdog boys suffered a tough home loss to the Chester Flyers on Saturday, January 20th.  Chester hit six straight free-throws at the end of the game for a 55-51 win.

Both teams got off to a slow start.  The Flyers led by just one point, 8-7, at the end of the firsts quarter. Chester extended the lead to 23-17 at halftime.  Beresford took a small lead in the third quarter, but the Flyers regained the lead and had a 47-39 advantage going into the fourth quarter.

The Watchdogs chipped away at the lead throughout the fourth quarter.  Aidan Hamm made a three-point shot with 1:00 in the game to give Beresford a 50-49 lead.  Chester made two free throws on their next possession to retake the lead 51-50.  They would make their next four free throws to secure the win.

Seth James had 14 points and five rebounds.  Hamm finished with nine points and two rebounds.  Malachi James added nine points, six rebounds, and three assists.  Jon DeLay also had nine points and three rebounds.
