Elk Point-Jefferson Steals Win from Beresford Boys

The Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies stole a victory from the Beresford Watchdog boys on Friday, February 9th.  The Huskies went home with a 59-58 win.

The game as a whole went back and forth.  The two teams ended the first quarter in a 16-16 tie.  Elk Point-Jefferson held three-point advantage at halftime, 34-31.  Beresford went on a run in the third quarter and took a 47-40 lead into the fourth quarter.  The Watchdogs maintained a seven-point lead, 55-48, with 3:45 to play.  Beresford was then held scoreless the rest of the game.  Elk Point-Jefferson scored the final eight points for the win.

Three players finished in double figures.  Seth James had 17 points, eight rebounds, two steals, and two blocked shots.  Jon DeLay added 15 points.  Aidan Hamm had 12 points and three rebounds.  Andrew Atwood had seven points and four rebounds.
