The Beresford Watchdog girls took a loss in Vermillion on Tuesday, January 30th. The Tanagers got the win at home by a score of 67-31.
The Watchdogs hung with the Tanagers in the first quarter and trailed by just three points, 14-11. After an early three-point basket in the second quarter, Beresford tied the game 14-14. Vermillion finished the first half on a 24-2 run for a 38-14. The Tanagers continued to cruise from there. They outscored Beresford 29-15 in the second half.
Lily Seivert had 15 points and six rebounds. Ella Merriman finished with 12 points, two rebounds, and two steals. Harley Koth had two points, three rebounds, and two assists.
