Beresford Girls Win Second Straight Game

The Beresford Watchdog girls basketball team won their second straight game after a 65-42 victory over the Parker Pheasants on Friday, December 29th.  The Watchdogs were able to overcome a somewhat slow start in the win.

Parker scored the first six points of the game for an early 6-0 lead. Beresford’s offense got rolling about the midway point of the first quarter, and the Watchdogs finished the quarter on a 15-2 run for a 15-8 lead.  They continued to roll from there as they built a 34-15 lead by halftime.  Beresford led 49-31 at the end of the third quarter.

Ella Merriman finished the game with 34 points, six rebounds, and three steals.  Lily Seivert had 15 points, 11 rebounds, and two steals.  Harley Koth added eight points, six rebounds, and two steals.  Makiah Sharpe had four points, and Kendra Ellis finished with three points and three rebounds.
