The Dakota Valley Panthers used a second half rally to get a 59-52 win over the Beresford Watchdog girls basketball team on Tuesday, December 12th.
The Watchdogs started the game on a 9-0 run and held a 14-10 lead at the end of the first quarter. Beresford continued to build on their lead in the second quarter and led 33-21 at halftime. Dakota Valley started their rally in the third quarter, but the Watchdogs still held a 40-39 lead going into the fourth quarter. The Panthers outscores Beresford 20-12 in the final quarter to complete the comeback win.
Ella Merriman had 25 points, two rebounds, and two assists. Harley Koth finished with 12 points, five rebounds, and two steals. Makiah Sharpe added seven points and three rebounds. Lily Seivert had six points, four rebounds, and five assists.
