Baltic Softball Uses Big Inning in Win over Sisseton

The Baltic Bulldogs had a huge third inning to help them to a 19-4 win over the Sisseton Redmen on Tuesday, April 8th.

Baltic scored two times in the bottom of the first inning and then scored four more in the second for a 6-0 lead.  Sisseton scored four times in the top of the third to make the score 6-4.  The Bulldog offense, however, exploded for 13 runs in the bottom of the third inning to make the score 19-4 and end the game on the 15-run rule.

Amelia Sinding had a home run and a double with three RBIs.  Ashly Klein had two doubles and two RBIs.  Harper Kortemeyer blasted a home run and had three RBIs.  Kalyce Nohava had a double and two RBIs. Ellie Pickett and Anna Hoekman both had a triple with an RBI.  Castyn Rogers and Charlee Blommer both had a single with an RBI.  Kaylee Siemonsma had a single, and Finley Kortemeyer had an RBI.

Klein pitched three innings and allowed four runs, none of them earned, on a hit and six walks with seven strikeouts.
