Bulldogs Drop Double Header to Florence/Henry

The Baltic Bulldogs lost both games of a softball double header against the Florence/Henry Falcons on Thursday, April 25th.

Florence/Henry 11, Baltic 0

The Falcons scored in every inning while holding the Bulldogs to just one hit in the first game.  Florence/Henry scored three in the bottom of the first, two in the second, three in the third, and then three more runs in the fourth.

Baylee Breece had the lone hit.  Katelyn Moser drew a walk and stole two bases.  Ryah Peters pitched 2 2/3 innings and allowed eight runs, five earned, on eight hits with three strikeouts.  Charlee Blommer pitched 1 1/3 innings and allowed three runs, one earned, on three hits and a walk with a strikeout.

Florence/Henry 6, Baltic 4

Baltic tried to rally in the top of the fifth inning, but the rally fell short.  Moser had an RBI single and then later scored on a wild pitch to give the Bulldogs an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first.  The Falcons tied the game in the bottom of the first with two runs.  Florence/Henry added three runs in the bottom of the third and another in the bottom of the fourth.  Moser another RBI single in the top of the fifth, and Caitlyn Pickett scored on a double play in the top of the fifth.

Moser had two hits and two RBIs.  Harper Kortemeyer had an RBI.  Pickett finished with a double.  Blommer pitched four innings and allowed six runs, three earned, on five hits and three walks with four strikeouts.
