The Baltic 14U baseball team won their final two games of the regular season at home on Thursday, July 6th and Friday, July 7th.
Batlic 17, Tea Bolts 2
On Thursday Baltic hosted the Tea Bolts. Baltic scored in every inning and led start to finish to take the win. They scored four in the bottom of the first, seven in the second, four more in the third, and two in the fourth to end the game on the 15-run rule. Tea got both of their runs in the top of the third.
Baltic only had six hits, but took advantage of 18 walks in the game. Ben Berg had two hits and an RBI. Brody Hansen had a double and two RBIs. Gavin Skotvold had a hit and two RBIs. Aiden Peters and Cale Roach each had a single and an RBI. Luke Petersen and Braeden Breece each added an RBI. Aaron Norby pitched three innings and allowed two earned runs on five walks with seven strikeouts. Skotvold pitched one inning and allowed a hit and walk with one strikeout.
Baltic 19, Canton 13U Gold 9
Another big offensive output by Baltic was put up on Friday against Canton. Baltic scored nine times right away in the bottom of the first inning to set the tone of the game. They scored another run in the second for a 10-0 lead. After Canton scored a run in the top of the third, Baltic added two more to increase the lead to 12-1. Canton rallied for eight runs in the top of the fifth to cut the lead to 12-9, but Baltic scored seven themselves in the bottom of the inning to end the game on the 10-run rule.
Elias Oakley had two hits, one a double, and two RBIs. Berg also had two hits and two RBIs. AJ Grunewaldt had a single and two RBIs. Peters, Petersen, and JT Nemmers all had a hit and an RBI each. Roach finished with two RBIs. Hansen also had an RBI. Hansen pitched two innings allowing one walk while striking out three. Petersen pitched 1 2/3 innings and allowed an earned run on two walks with two strikeouts.
