The Alcester-Hudson Cub boys had a tough offensive night against the Viborg-Hurley Cougars on Tuesday, January 14th. The Cougars took the win 60-19.
The Cubs took a 4-2 lead with 6:30 to go in the first quarter. That’s when things went cold for Alcester-Hudson. The Cubs scored just two more points the rest of the quarter, and the Cougars led 18-6 at the first break. Viborg-Hurley extended their lead to 35-9 by halftime. The Cubs were only able to get 10 more points the rest of the game. The Cougars led 49-12 going into the fourth quarter.
Evan Brown had six points. Ethan Bovill had four points and six rebounds. Evan Haak and Izaac Sommervold each had two points and four rebounds. Tommy Walth ended with two points and three rebounds. Jackson Meyer also had two points.
