The Alcester-Hudson Cub boys won their regular season finale on Saturday, February 22nd. The Cubs defeated the Tripp-Delmont/Armour Nighthawks, 59-54, at the Great Plains Conference.
A first quarter lead was enough for the Cubs throughout the rest of the game. Alcester-Hudson built a seven-point lead, 15-8, by the end of the first quarter. The Cubs maintained the lead in the second quarter and led 26-20 at halftime. Alcester-Hudson was able to extend their lead to 46-37 by the end of the third quarter. The Nighthawks cut the lead in the fourth quarter, but the Cubs were able to hold for the win.
Evan Brown finished with 21 points and three rebounds. Ethan Bovill added 17 points and three assists. Tommy Walth tallied eight points, four rebounds, and two assists. Evan Haak ended with six points. Jose Topete-Lopez had 11 rebounds.
