Chester Ends Alcester-Hudson Boys Winning Streak

The Chester Flyers snapped a five-game winning streak by the Alcester-Hudson boys on Saturday, January 10th.  Chester put together a late rally to get a 61-58 victory.

The Flyers opened the game on a 12-2 run over the first four minutes.  Chester led 17-8 by the end of the first quarter.  The Cubs put together a strong rally in the second quarter.  They took the lead 23-22 with 2:45 left in the half and then lead 29-27 at halftime.

The two teams battled back and forth throughout the third and four quarters.  Chester regained the lead and held a 41-39 advantage going into the fourth quarter.  Alcester-Hudson found themselves in front 54-52 with 1:45 left to go in the game.  The Flyers finished strong by outscoring the Cubs 9-4 to take the win.

Ethan Bovill had 19 points and five rebounds.  Evan Haak added 14 points.  Tommy Walth had six points, four rebounds, and three assists.  Jacob Cole also had six points with nine rebounds.  Jose Topete-Lopez had five points and six rebounds.
