Cub Boys Keep Winning Streak Alive

The Alcester-Hudson Cub boys ran their winning streak to five games after they squeaked by Canistota on Friday, January 10th.  The Cubs held off the Hawks for a 50-49 win.

Alcester-Hudson took a slim 10-7 lead into the start of the second quarter.  The Cubs maintained the three-point lead, 26-23, at halftime.  Canistota put together a small rally in the third quarter.  The Hawks took the lead and led 37-35 going into the fourth quarter.  The teams went back and forth in the fourth quarter.  The Cubs were able to hold off the Hawks for the one-point victory.

Ethan Bovill finished with 16 points, two rebounds, two assists, and three steals.  Evan Haak added 11 points and two rebounds.  Jacob Cole had six points and four rebounds.  Brody Andrews also had six points.  Evan Brown ended with five points and three assists.  Jose Topete-Lopez had four points, nine rebounds, and two assists.
