Rangers Fourth Quarter Rally Helps in Win over Cub Boys

The Alcester-Hudson Cub boys were outscored 22-9 in the fourth quarter as the Hill City Rangers took a 61-51 win at the Irene-Wakonda Classic on Saturday, February 1st.

The Cubs took the lead in the first quarter and led 15-10 at the end of the quarter.  Hill City grabbed the lead in the second quarter by outscoring Alcester-Hudson 21-9 for a 31-24 halftime lead.  Alcester-Hudson started the second half on an 8-0 run for a 32-31 lead with 5:00 to go in the quarter.  The Cubs ended the third quarter with a 42-39 advantage.  Hill City went on another big run in the fourth quarter to take the win.

Jacob Cole finished with 16 points and six rebounds.  Evan Brown and Ethan Bovill both had nine points and two rebounds each.  Evan Haak added six points, two rebounds, and two assists.  Brody Andrews had five points in the game.
